An Assistant Stock Controller in an oil/paint manufacturing company is responsible for supporting the accurate and efficient management of product inventory within the warehouse. This role ensures the integrity of stock records, assists in daily reconciliation and monitoring activities, and helps maintain optimal inventory levels to support seamless production and distribution operations.

• Perform daily reconciliation of physical stock counts with system records.
• Monitor and record all incoming and outgoing goods at the depot or warehouse.
• Verify the accuracy of shipping and transfer documents (such as waybills, invoices, and goods received notes).
• Assist in the planning and execution of monthly and annual stock audits.
• Identify, analyze, and report any stock discrepancies and assist in subsequent investigations.
• Collaborate with the sales and logistics departments to ensure a smooth ordering and dispatch process.
• Maintain an efficient system for receiving and ordering products.
• Ensure the warehouse is organized and clean, meeting all safety and hygiene standards.
• Participate in initiatives to improve inventory management systems and procedures.

Education:

• Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3 years of experience in a stock control, warehouse, or inventory management role.
• Experience within the oil, paint, lubricant, or chemical manufacturing industry is a significant advantage.

• Basic Computer Skills for example Microsoft Package, Internet, email and accounting package such as Tally Erp 9
